Wait for Star One Migration, My PCMCIA Modem have worked properly

 

Few months ago, I bought a PCMCIA Modem spesifically for CDMA. This modem is very useful for us that want to connect to the internet via mobile phone.

I bought CDMA Modem, because from about 1 Years ago, I’ve subscribed internet monthly using Star One.

Star one is the one of CDMA vendor that provide the flat internet monthly. But this facility is not for "downloader’s freaks", because limitation of the access,

but this very useful for you, that must check an email or blog daily.

Ups, the point of this posting is not "star one"..but CDMA-PCMCIA MODEM.

Let’s Focus..

why we have to use PCMCIA Modem, why don’t use DKU-5 cable data to connect the phone to computer ?

- Sometime, we need the mobility, because as an employee or a college student we prefer to access the internet whereever we are.

Based on it, we need a peripheral or tools that could connect to the internet only using Laptop/PC and the tools.

PCMCIA Modem is the alternative for connecting us, only insert the SIM CARD to modem, install the modem software..and

1..2..3…DIALING…and Internet connection is active.

If we use the cable data and using our handphone as a modem, the "great weakness" is battery.

Let’s Imagine, when the phone on low battery status, but we need to check an email immediately..and we forgot to bring the charger…so, no connection that we could be made.

 

so the modem integrated is the one of solution.

Hey, On my office or my campus, I have the free connection…so Why I need the another peripheral ???

- Mostly our office or campus have provided the internet, but on the various case we need an alternative, when we get the holiday or some trip, and on the same time we

need to get the next instruction or whatever on our email..so it could be an alternative connection, on OFFDAY.

mmhh..this CDMA Modem is only connecting device or have another feature ?

- Mostly phone modem device now adays have integrated the "Calling Feature", "SMS Feature" and "Manage PhoneBook Feature". So it could be useful for surfing, calling, sending a message.

three sub points above, hopefully give us the benefit and new "tiny" knowledge..

As a "Star one Subscriber", now I still wait for the Star one Migration frequency, because CDMA Modem that I’ve bought is spesific for 800 MHz frequency only ( Info for JAKARTA : FLEXI, FREN and ESIA ).

hopefully it could be applied on few months later.
